Half-Day Outpatient Treatment Program in Peabody, MA

If you need comprehensive support with mental health issues or drug or alcohol addiction but can’t put your life on hold, our Half-Day Outpatient Treatment Program gives you what you need. You’ll receive intensive treatment during the day, then return home to your own bed at night. It’s a level of care that works best for those who are stepping down from full-day treatment and/or those looking for a more flexible schedule due to work, family, school, or other responsibilities.

What Makes Day Treatment Different?

Think of day treatment for mental health or addiction as treatment without the beds. You’ll get the same intensive therapy, medical support, and recovery skillss you’d find in residential treatment but will return home to practice what you learn each day. Our team will be there to back you up if things get rough.

What Happens in Half-Day Treatment for Addiction and/or Mental Health

Throughout the week, you’ll be here working on your recovery. A typical half day includes:

  • Morning check-in and goal setting
  • Group therapy sessions
  • Individual counseling
  • Addiction education (for clients in treatment for addiction)
  • Life skills training
  • Recovery planning
  • Family sessions when needed
  • Case management help
  • Other support as needed

Between program hours, you’ll head home to practice your new skills, spend time with family and friends, work, or attend school. In short, you get to start building a life that supports your recovery on day 1.

Addiction & Mental Health Treatment That Actually Works

Our addiction and mental health treatment teams have worked at drug and alcohol rehabs, mental health counseling centers, and hospitals near Boston and around the country. They know what works, and use proven approaches to give you what you need for lasting recovery.

Outpatient Therapy That Makes Sense

In therapy, you learn to spot and change harmful thinking patterns. That means building better ways to handle stress and frustration, improving your relationships, and planning for life’s challenges.

Real-World Recovery Skills

In half-day treatment, you’ll start practicing your skills from the start. If you’re in treatment for addiction, you’ll learn how to handle triggers without using drugs or alcohol, manage cravings, deal with problems sober, build healthy routines, fix sleep issues, navigate work challenges, rebuild trust with friends and family, and more. If you’re being treated for mental health, you’ll learn how to handle emotional triggers, stressful situations, and acquire tools and skills designed to help you maintain your balance when difficult times are encountered.

Who Needs Half-Day Treatment?

For some people, residential treatment is the best, most appropriate fit for their issues. Others can successfully address mental health issues or problem drinking or drug use without going to live in a facility. Half-day treatment is appropriate for those who have a genuine desire to get better and who currently live in a supportive home environment. We will provide the structure and support without the lockdown. This is a perfect option for those who are looking for more than therapy and need flexibility so they can attend school, work, or care for family. If you need additional support, our Full-Day Treatment Program may be your appropriate option.

Medical Support When & If You Need It

While we’re not a hospital, we can help you navigate medical issues like medication management, post-withdrawal care, mental health support, crisis intervention, medical care referrals, and more.

Beyond Basic Treatment

We can help with the entire recovery picture, including:

  • Life Planning
  • Case Management
  • Family Support
